Right now you can go to www.nrastore.com and purchase any $100 of goods and they will send you a $25 gift card for free for the NRA store.
Must use promo code 25NRASTORE. Offer expires Sept. 13, 2015. They have many types of sporting goods including hats, belts, and other items. Some items are on sale too.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Wellll....looks like my first attempt to post a deal is in for many TD. I really thought a free $25 GC with a $100 purchase was slick. But seems, not so much. So, would someone please take pity and help me out and tell me where I went wrong? I really want to contribute positively to this cool forum (and maybe garner more TU and less TD next time).

Thanks in advance - PsychicRhino

There are some that see NRA and thumb down no matter what. There isn't much you can do about that.

This is a pretty cool T shirt they have marked down too. In black or grey, mediums only left. http://www.nrastore.com/sale/nra-...et-t-shirt

And DMUE I appreciate your reply, but surely that just can't be it. I don't think I know anyone that doesn't support the 2nd amendment and has more guns than they got fingers and toes.

You didn't do anything wrong OP. There are people who will TU an NRA link for political correctness reasons. Nothing you can do about it. Don't let it eat at you. Those same people who thumb you down would TU a Planned Parenthood abortion discount.

Most of the stuff at the NRA store is overpriced, Chinese-made junk. Almost everything cheaper and/or better quality elsewhere.

But I won't TD this thread, as the OP had the best intentions.

And no, I'm not a gun-control-lunatic. I'm a Second Amendment absolutist.

Trust me on this PsychicRhino. There are A LOT of gun haters out there that would love to do away with the NRA and the 2nd Amendment.

You may well be right, but they do have a "Made in USA" section too! http://www.nrastore.com/made-in-usa?p=2

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Was sooo excited I finally had a deal to post. I just figured all the TD were because I posted in the wrong section or left out some info or something. Sorry if anyone felt offended.

There is a neo-Bolshevist contingent here at SD that will TD anything related to guns, ammunition, knives, or anything else that relates to good people defending themselves from bad people. You couldn't win regardless of what you did. nod

I just TU'd this thread, even though I don't consider the offer a "good deal," solely to counteract the purely political TDs. And you got rep, too!

Same people would give you thumbs up if you were posting a deal from Planned Parenthood selling uncrushed body parts from unborn babies for 25% off.

Some people would also thumb up if you were posting video of a gun being pried from Charlton Heston's cold dead hands.
