I bought 3 of these for for a camping trip at the same price in mid-June. They're pretty good. Lots of light, 3 regular brightness levels which are all useful, and then a flashing-red-light mode which I have no idea what you'd use it for.

Only downside is that the straps are pretty short. I have a big head and the damn thing kept slipping off my noggin. Great for my wife and kids, though! Definitely worth more than 7 bucks.

They had these 2 for $5 and still didn't gain much traction.

FYI - was going to get a couple for my kids for camping but found out the RED led (to maintain night vision) only flashes and can't stay on like normal.

If someone have a recommendation on some cheap LED headlamps with a red LED, please let me know. I wouldn't mind paying more for CREE leds. Thanks
