Cell Phone Call Forwarding App (Android)

kaykatz 569 August 11, 2015 at 12:27 PM
I am looking for a call forwarding app that can forward calls to the one phone I carry when I am out and about. I tried Google voice but I forget to give that number out, so that doesn't work for me. Currently, I use 3 android phones (at different times for different reasons). One phone is a FreedomPop phone, if that matters. Thanks in advance for the advice!

You can actually transfer your "one number that works for you" to Google Voice...

I personally use Google Voice as my business line so that I can retain two separate numbers, however. But Google Voice can definitely do what you want with the number that you want.

Google voice should work once you port the number that you have give out. It will cost you $20 to port out. Not all phone numbers are eligible to port out though. For e.g. landline numbers and some area codes were not eligible. In some cases, it might be possible to port to another service like T-Mobile and then port from there to Google Voice. I had to port my landline number first to T-Mobile and then from T-Mobile to Google Voice. Google Voice port takes about 24 hours to go through. This information is from a few years ago. Things might have changed.

Alternately, you also have a service from ring.to [ring.to]It is possible to forward top other phone numbers using that service as well. That is completely free.
