Missing Mobile Page?

I noticed the other day that it seemed that m.slickdeals.net stopped being its own layout, and instead began redirecting back to slickdeals.net, with full desktop support.

I understand that there are some mobile-specific apps out there to download and use. However, I prefer to be lazy and to not have to download and switch between apps when browsing on my phone to simply hop to m.slickdeals.net to check deals and check the forums quick, when I'm already browsing around in the web browser on my phone.

Is this a feature that has been removed, alongside with the layout upgrade? Or is this something that will be re-added after the full migration to the new Slickdeals layout? Or is this something that's already there, but just moved away from m.slickdeals.net to a different url or subdomain?

Thanks!

Hey ElectroWolf!

It sounds like you are getting the desktop version of the site on your mobile device. We have a pretty awesome new version of what was m. with all the old funcitonality and more. Normally it just displays, but I think you may be opted into desktop for some reason. To fix this, just scroll down to the footer and click on 'mobile'. This should bring up the new mobile site, which is accesible just by coming to slickdeals.net. Let me know if that fixes the issue for you or if I've misunderstood what you're asking. Thanks!!!!

Yep!

Seems that going via the link down below resolves it for me. So m.slickdeals.net is no more? It's all part of the basic slickdeals.net URL then, and [I assume] trigger based on user agent? Good to know!

Yeah, strange how my phone's not auto-triggering the mobile site when going to slickdeals.net. It's an LG G2, with the most recent Chrome update on it, and I verified that the "Request Desktop Site" isn't checked in the settings.

Here's my UserAgent if you need it, if it helps to determine why mine's not switching automatically:

It isn't strictly useragent, there's also a cookie now; if you had that cookie set, it wouldn't matter what your useragent was, it would still give you desktop Smilie

It would be nice if you removed the mobile app from the playstore. Newbies like me are still wondering why the mobile app crashes upon opening every time we try to use it.
Now I understand that there is no more mobile site/desktop.
