The pre-order pages are up for the just-announced Samsung Galaxy Note 5 [sprint.com]
nd S6 Edge+ [sprint.com]
. Between 8/13 and 8/27, your pre-order qualifies you for a $200 credit on your bill for ANY smartphone trade-in. My old Touch Pro 2? Worth $1 before using the promo code 200samsung. After promo code? Cha-ching! In addition, they're also reducing upgrade eligibility to one year instead of two. You also qualify for a "free" Galaxy Tab 4. But that requires its own data plan and two year agreement. So probably say no to that. Yeah, I know. No microSD. No removable battery. Bla bla. But these are the only two phones to which the $200 service credit currently apply. I don't even see any previous generation Note phones available on the Sprint website. OK. I see the Note 5 Edge. That's it. Phones supposedly start shipping 8/14. Now. Let the thumbs downing begin!
Edit to add that those Sprint dirtbags added language to the offer page to restrict the $200 trade-in bonus to only those using the lease or SleazyPay options. I'm attaching a screencap of the older offer terms (only for the GN5, unfortunately) in case anyone wants to try for a 2 year contract extension and argue until they turn blue to get the trade-in credit. My guess is that it's gonna be a waste of time.
