is used really worth it on a controller? I mean it could be worn out or something

The left stick normally begins drifting after a while so probably not. I've repaired 2 of mine here recently and it cost about $2.00 each. I slapped in some aluminum thumbsticks ($2.50 a pair) while I was at it as they tend to wear where it contacts the font face.

one of mine have this issue as well. Is the aluminum thumbsticks better than the plastic ones (as far as playing)?

Gotta admit, I've never raged before with my 360 controllers, but have with the One and these things are flimsy, I swear I could break one in half if I really tried. I do really like how they feel and all that, but they're not really the best quality at least the older ones, can't speak for the recent releases.

There are some things I won't ever buy used. Game controllers are one of them.

i have 4 controllers, all now up drifting
had to replace the stick module and now 3 are working well....

your problem might not be just the stick, might be the module...

yea I know I need the module, just wondering if the aluminum stick is worth doing since I'll have it opened up anyways.
