The Kev Master knows that one can easily get one from an end user for around this price or less.

He got one for his mother a few months ago

Good price if it was for 2nd gen. For 1st gen this is a terrible price.

1st gen is crap. Be sorry, TC.

Agree.

$25 for a used one sounds about right.

I've got one... Lollipop ruined it. Painfully slow. Usable, but just barely.

There is a rom called optipop on the xda forums. If you format the /data and /cache to f2fs the tablet works quite well. Honestly I was about to chuck it but now it makes a good Chromecast remote and serves double duty to occupy my son on long car trips. Nice thing is they didn't ulgify it, it looks like stock Android.

Edit: btw if those who don't already have one. I agree $25 is closer to a fair price for this tablet

I used to use mine for a few things, but it's now so slow that it's only marginally successful as a single purpose device to run Jefit, to track my weightlifting. Damn thing.

This is not a hot deal, and it may be majorly eclipsed by the 2nd gen... but it is still as good or better than a lot of the crap-brand tablets that are currently being sold out there.

Where's the best place to grab a 2nd Gen for my Mom?

New? Befriend your local Staples manager and get one on clearance which also happens to be open box and happens to qualify for an expired coupon that they will allow through and then they'll punch in their manager's discount as well.

Used? There's a list some guy makes about all kinds of stuff for sale in your area... I think his name is Craig?
