Cheap 2 in 1 laptop / tablet

aerospace 53 53 August 18, 2015 at 05:25 PM More Walmart Deals
I'm looking for a laptop with removable keyboard type of form factor likely an android device for the apps. No powerhouse needed but I will run a few games, do email, and web surf on it. Hopefully something that will not be outdated to fast as far as an unsupported os. I still have a normal laptop for day to day use this would be more for the increased portability, replace my old ipad and travel.

Price range would be under $250 for sure though under $200 is preferred. Any ideas for good ones? Current deals?

Went to a local walmart and they had quite a few but if I can find better online I can wait and order it. Something like this RCA 10" Viking Pro Android-5.0 32gb quad core(even has free shipping for $99) [walmart.com]

Thanks!
Michael

Hey Michael,

I'm kind of on board with finding a similar product and I am now looking at the Winbook lineup as they have an extra usb port. One thing I was looking at is this deal someone else posted on here.

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire...witch+192E

I just bought the $30 Insignia 8" windows tablet and it is amazing for the price but I think I want to get something with 2gb ram and I can use this as something for an HTPC or give to a roomate or something.

Let me know if you find anything better!
Thanks,
Mike

I'd likely use it more as a tablet than a laptop so the millions of android apps would sway me more than windows. Also am a bit concerned it says 5lbs weight on the amazon tablet while the walmart says 2lbs 3oz, that's a big difference.

I will post if I find a deal on similar items.

I read a review that it is nowhere near the 5lbs that it says. I have an old iPad and realized it'd be better to have full fledged Windows 10 than something that can only play apps (I can use my iPhone for that).
But there are all types of good solutions out there for Android. And they appear to be cheaper than their windows counterparts!

Android has a good niche in the market...certainly has the deeper levels you can delve into if you want to get tech heavy...
