I need help with getting started with my Lenovo y50

JohnH3297 2 10 August 19, 2015 at 11:40 AM
Im very new to laptops and such. I am buying a Lenovo y50 for gaming / school, when I first get my laptop, I was told to update my drivers, how do I do that? Also is there anything else I should do to maximize my experience with this laptop?

Give some tips to a noobie!Smilie

The laptop should come with windows 8 or 10. Those automagically install your drivers so run that. You can also install "classic shell" to get rid of the metro thing for the laptop if you don't have the touch screen version of the y50. Also uninstall unwanted software. For example, most laptops come with crap antiviruses. So uninstall it if you see it and enable microsoft security essentials. That's basically it, happy gaming and goodluck in school!
