oBrightness: 800 lumens
oEstimated yearly energy cost: $1.02 (based on 3 hours/day, 11 cents/kWh, costs depend on rates and use)
oLife hours: 10950 hours (based on 3 hours/day)
oLight appearance: 2700K (soft white)
oEnergy used: 8.5-Watt (equivalent to a 60W standard incandescent light bulb)

This is the Budget Phillips non dimmable, indoor only, non enclosure bulb. While it is a good it is not the $20+ premium bulbs for less than $3 each. Quite sure this is the same bulb that was sold for the $5 earth day in the 2 pack. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2...320,00.asp

Here is a review of this bulb https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTSDjIxlqjk

How is this deal if comparing with http://slickdeals.net/f/8019033-walmart-a19-8-5-watt-led-light-bulb-60-watt-equivalent-2-47-without-rebate-subsidies?src=SiteSearch ?

Edit: Slightly better price but how about the quality, brightness?

I've had a bunch of Philips LED bulbs for awhile when they sold for about $20/piece and they've been great. I think Philips, along with CREE, are the top brands in quality LED bulbs.

specs are exactly the same.
the body/heatsink looks a little nicer on the Philips and the 'bulb' itself protrudes over the heatsink on the Philips, which I would think gives better lighting all around... but that's just a guess.

i'd trust Philips over a Great Value product any day though.

Anyone know their color range? Too bright blue hurts the eyes...

Product packaging looks like 2700k - might work for me!
