Won't TD this, but lots of corn and wheat in these, which I guess is to be expected at this price point.

No prime, but I think it's free shipping at $49+.

Any recommendations on a healthy dry dog food that isn't too expensive? I adopted a dog last week and am feeding her Natural Balance at the moment.

Thank you,
Tofu Vic

Thanks! With the 5% discount for auto-ship plus 20% discount (1st time auto-ship - max $15), I was able to get 9 bags (135lbs) for $64.85. Super slick!

Generally the more expensive ones are the better ones (not true for everything though). I think the cheaper one of the "good" ones is Diamond. I generally don't see it being sold at PetSmart though... you might have to find a specific store or get it online.

The Natural Balance I'm thinking of is very good (and pricey). Good for you! Don't forget to slowly switch out the food by mixing them if you decide to do so.

For affordable that is still good quality, I get 4Health brand which is made for Tractor Supply. I like to feed them Taste of the Wild High Prairie, but only when I can find a deal on that stuff!

Thank you, JCao, NoRulesJustRight, and ign0ramus!

Halo is one of the brands I was considering. My other top brands for consideration, other than Natural Balance, are Wellness, Blue Buffalo, and AvoDerm. Back to Basics and Taste of the Wild are also on my list, but they seem pricier.

Speaking of Diamond, the Kirkland Signature Super Premium Adult Dog Complete Dog Food sold at Costco Warehouse stores are manufactured by Diamond. PetFoodTalk.com actually lists this Kirkland Signature dog food as one of the top eight brands, along with Taste of the Wild, Natural Balance, Wellness, Orijen, Blue Buffalo, Dr. Tim's, and Evo.

I second the Costco brand foods...especially the puppy food. The look might not appeal to your eyes but the quality is there and for as cheap as it is you won't be feeding as much because the quality is there to also. I currently switch between the Costco adult foods and Purina Focus/Savor
