SD post for library reference site

I know this isn't exactly a tech issue, but I'm hoping someone remembers a post in Hot deals a month or two back that listed a public library site where you could access all kinds of great reference sites like Chilton's, Consumer Reports, etc without needing a library ID. I got a new laptop and I thought I'd saved my bookmarks, but apparently not.

Why not just use your own local library's online resources? Your tax dollars fund your local library's access to these databases. If your closest library doesn't have all the databases you want, try a nearby county.
