STEPS TO FOLLOW:

-Open a new incognito window in the Google Chrome browser
-Paste in this link: https://www.americanexpress.com/u...ards-gold/
-If you do not see the offer above, close out the incognito and repeat until you see the 50k offer
-Hit "APPLY NOW" on the bottom right

This is NOT ymmv - publicly available offer as long as you follow the instructions above. It took me 4x of closing incognito, reopening, pasting, before I got the 50k offer to show up.

OFFER HIGHLIGHTS
Earn 50k bonus points after $1,000 spend in the first 3 months
$195 annual fee waived the first year
$100 airline fee credit (new)
No FX fees (new)

Note that the highest offer ever for the PRG was 75k, check out this post to determine if you should pull the trigger now or hold off: http://therewardboss.com/2015/07/...off-75000/

If you have or have had the PRG card before, you will NOT receive the signup bonus again, even if you are approved for the card. If you have or have had any other Amex card, you will receive the signup bonus after meeting the $1,000 spend. Amex enforced a once per lifetime rule for signup bonuses (applies to all cards except business cards).

8/26 update: apparently, this is a repost of http://slickdeals.net/f/7985083-amex-prg-50k-mr-bonus-points-1k-spend-3-months?v=1 but didn't come up (still doesn't) when I searched for "amex premier rewards 50"

Mods: up to you whether you want to keep this separate or merge

How to use MPX to get amazon credit with the airline incidental reimbursement:

Step 1. Select United as your airline for the incidental reimbursement benefit on the Amex website.

Step 2. Download United's MIleagePlus X (MPX) app for iOS or Android (step 2b- if you don't already have a Mileageplus account you'll need to create one to log into the app with)

Step 3. Search online merchants and select Amazon.

Step 4. Select Pay Now on Amazon, enter desired amount ($100 max for PRG reimbursement per year- some suggest doing two $50 ones is safer but wife and I have done $100 several times without issue)

Step 5. Enter details of your qualified Amex card for payment, complete checkout

Reimbursement can take a few days normally.

Note: For those getting their transactions declined (error code 126) in the MPX app, there appears to be a 7 day waiting period for new mileageplus accounts. Ex. I made my account on 4/11/16 and got the transaction declined everyday until 4/18/16 which is when it worked.

I have this card. It's pretty good. But there is an annual fee, which is waived for the 1st year. I think it's $75.

"..everyone will get the offer as long as you follow the instructions above.."

Well, not exactly... "If we identify you as currently having an American Express® Card account, you may not be eligible for this welcome bonus offer. This offer is also not available to applicants who have or have had this product."

i stated you will get the offer. getting approved for the bonus is another story, but yes, if you have had the PRG before, you will not get the bonus again. if you had the business gold before (not the PRG), then you qualify for the 50k bonus.

a small increase for no FX fees and a new $100 air credit (which works for many airlines when purchasing e-gift certificates). besides, doesnt everyone just cancel after the first year to avoid the AF?
