I bought one few months ago, and these are great for storage! Note, you may receive either a RED or GREEN drive when you open up these up to use internally on your machine, as far as I know. There are ways to convert a GREEN drive to RED drive. You'll have to Google this one.

Checking Red or Green?:
Tool: CrystalDiskInfo 6.3.2 get the standard portable edition.
Run app, look at the device model.

- WD Green WD50EZRX
You CANNOT check whether it is a Green or a Red before opening using DCM info.
