Editor's Notes & Price Research
This is a CDMA (dual-band/dual-mode phone). Availability for in-store pickup may vary depending on zip code. - brisar
Verizon 3G CDMA phone; no SIM slot; no GSM radio, will not work on Sprint, T-Mobile or AT&T.
Will work on VERIZON PREPAID ONLY until 6 mos after activation on Verizon prepaid - then it can be used on Verizon postpaid or Verizon MVNOs. It can never be used on any other network but Verizon's.

To Bypass activation
Turn phone on wait for the page to select language (English) comes up.
Quickly, press volume up/volume down/back/menu and you should get a page telling you that you are bypassing something or other. If not, repeat the sequence. Remember to do it quickly.
Now acknowledge their warning and that you can come back later to activate if you want.
You now have a full wifi device.
Question1: Can someone update the above to show how to get back to the activation screen? I went to the Verizon folder and launched the verison program and it didn't work. I had to perform factory reset via: settings -> backup and reset -> factory data reset.
Question2: Will this phone be able to update to other android versions from Verizon officially instead of the hacks? I have a Mobile F6 and there's no update since I bought it.
The $9.99 deal is over but u can still get it for $9.99 ...It will work for those who already have ordered or picked up from the store...
Call Best buy 800 number / talk to customer service and tell him you bought it for $14.99 but the price went tdown to $9.99 by the time you call back or went to store to price match , the online price got changed. In my case CSR was cool enough he checked "SD" and did the price match......
