Looking for a good, reasonably priced blender. Any ideas?

I saw the price of a vitamix - just not in my budget right now. Would anyone know a good blender - hopefully under 200? Could go up to 250. Thanks for your help. Main use would be smoothies and sauces.

You can get a refurb Blendtec for that price. Refurb still has a long warranty too, 7 years I believe? They show up here every once in a while, check eBay/Walmart.com

I personally have never had an issue with my Ninja... just a BIT of a pain to clean. Full guarantee from Kohls and 30% coupons are readily available that will bring this under $100. If it stops working, bring it back... open return policy. Might get a better price at a warehouse store though.

I'm looking too in that price range. The leading candidates are the Oster Versa 1400 and the remanufactured Vitamix 6300. The Versa has been an Amazon Gold Box item once or twice when it sold for $125.00 The Vitamix sold @ one point this summer for S246.00, delivered. I'm waiting for one of these to go on sale.

Love the Ninja. Maybe I have a different model than MattP725 because mine is super easy to clean - everything just goes into the dishwasher.

Ninja Master Prep Professional QB1004 - $46.94 at Amazon [amazon.com] and Walmart [walmart.com].

When Consumer Reports rated this blender, they rated the Ninja their top rated blender along with the VitaMix 5200. $47 vs $500.

I have the Ninja QB1004 blender - the exact one you linked to. I also own a Blendtec Total Blender Classic. I can say that there is NO comparison. The Blendtec dominates the Ninja, not even close. I can't believe the Ninja would come close to a VitaMix, either, but YMMV as I have never used a VitaMix. I wouldn't spend $500 for a VitaMix, but I got my Blendtec refurbished (7 year warranty) for $190 and it was absolutely worth it.

I love my Ninja. It works well, decent price. I have had it for a couple of years and no problems. It is also very easy to clean.
