Your link does not work but I assume you are asking if this is right.

4GB DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.35V
DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V •

Yes this will work in that laptop.

The 12800 is 1600mhz RAM
Your PC uses 1333 probably.
1600 and 1866 are both backwards compatible (They are faster than 1333 but will clock down to work with your machine).
Often times you'll find that trying to buy the exact speed you need (1333) is more expensive than just buying something more recent that works backwards because 1333 is old, harder to come by, so more expensive.

I recommend a newegg purchase for this. Although their price matches the crucial site this time.

To buy your exact speed it's a dollar more.

Your best bet is to open her up now to identify what is currently installed and purchase the matching speed.

Also you may want to check to see how many sticks you have in your laptop as well. The 420 is limited to two sticks and if it has 2x2GB then you will need to remove one stick in order to add more. Meaning that if you buy a 4 GB stick you may only be net +2 GB.

You may want to look into either switching out both sticks or using a larger stick.
