**Just a word to the wise, these are telemarketers (Bassmaster/Buckmaster)who will harass you...they won't take no for an answer and will call you repeatedly. You've been warned.**

If it was up to me they would be banned/blocked from being on SD, I can't tell you how much I despise them.

TIP:
Did you know people have won over $30,000 in prizes from sweeps I've directly posted? If you have the time to do so, please give back by posting sweepstakes you see. This site is largely community driven. We are grateful for the volunteer work of others. heart

While I've had these folks call me on two occasions, I just politely said I'm not interested, and that was that. I don't let that keep me from entering their contests, but that's just me. Apparently you've had a far worse experience with these folks than I ever had.

Yes, I have...got a phone call asking do you like hunting? I was like of course I do, I'm an outdoor kind of guy. The conversation continue, you will be excited to know you've won a hunting package. Wow, I'm pretty excited at that point, and then came the illegal stuff. All you need to do is provide your credit card and we will send you a subscription and your gear. Me, I'm not really interested in a subscription....can I get the gear I won? That began 10 min pitch with her doing everything in her power to get me to give my CC # and refusing to give me my prize. I doubt I won anything, and think it was just a con game to sell a mag sub. Conversation ended in me telling her to remove me from their call list.

2 hours later, another call from them...same thing. I hang up on them this time.

This results in me getting two calls a day for the next two weeks. I tried to be nice about it, but at some point its harassment. I care about our members here, and don't want people to have to deal with high pressure sales.

Implode - Had I ever had a similar experience to what you've described, I'd be furious. However, I just want to let our fellow SDers know that your not everyone is subjected to what you've apparently gone through.
