Staples Redeeming Rewards Changed?

carnini 158 14 September 10, 2015 at 12:23 PM in Office & School Supplies (3) More Staples Deals

Thread Details

I was at staples today and when checking out the cashier mentioned that using my monthly rewards would cancel out any easy rebate I would get.

Is this a change?

For example, staples has paper 5 ream packs for $1 after coupon so I was trying to buy that.

Up until last month, you could use Staples Rewards and still get the easy rebate for an item.

Has this changed?

In cases like this I just play along with the dumb cashier and say ok, I will buy the item(s) anyways even without the rebate. Heck, if they want to keep or tear up the rebate form that prints out that is fine too...won't stop you from submitting it online.
