In celebration of their 20th year of ripping you off, ebay is offering a 20% discount [ebay.com] off their ridiculously high final value fees for the first 20 items you list after clicking on the link to activate the offer. The ususal exclusions apply. This should go without saying, but these have to be NEW listings. Your existing listings will not receive a discount unless you end and relist. You have a narrow window of opportunity to take advantage of this offer. It expires on 9/14, but your listing can go for up to 30 days after that.

How else are they going to stay in business? And be able to afford their helicopters? They should charge more imo

Thanks, I activated. If they wanted to dampen the gloom lots of sellers are feeling they should have made it good for at least a month.

The least they could do is offer free listings for a year after that disaster of an app update that is eBay 4.0

They charged me a whooping 10% on my last sale, which happened to be about $100 in fees. I called and they gave me a credit of the $100 because I was unaware of these crazy fees. WTF.

I thought Ebay just charged your a few bucks per posting and crap like Bold, Border, Pictures, etc.

I never knew they started taking chunks of the actual sale too. That is horrible. Never again will I sell crap on ebay.

Does this apply to "Good till cancelled" listings that were created before the start date but get automatically relisted during the promotion?
