How does 1866 compare to 1600. . .I am ignorant. Yes, I can google, but everyone here has an opinion.

It's faster.
but for practical purposes thats mostly irrelevant.
It will not affect a vast majority of applications.

The one exception is gaming with an APU. Faster ram equates to better performance because the only Vram avaialble is the same as your system ram. So you would see a marginal increase in performance of 1866 vs 1600. Though the real profit to be had, is using dual channel [2 sticks of ram] in this scenario.

It will also improve speeds in various editing tasks [video/photo, maybe music but I don't know for certain on that one]

personally, would grab the 4gb deal someone just posted awhile ago.

8gb of 1600 for 34 bucks, 5 dollars cheaper. lifetime warranty.
personally grabbed 5 sticks.

I have not kept up to snuff on this stuff, this looks compatible with that think server that was a fp deal recently (Lenovo ts140), but how do I know for sure? also, if I'm just looking for 16 gb would 2 of these be better or 4 4 gb sticks? (like the one secretly Jesus posted)?
