No, no we (and apparently the internet) haven't - please, share your legitimate sources from reputable places (not conspiracy wack blogs, please), I know of CFL warnings [fda.gov] for direct to ~2" issues, but nothing for incandescent.

I looked up ANY information on the "radiation" that these bulbs in particular put out, and am not able to find a single resource, sadly Frown

Please share for us all to be properly informed!

(whew, I almost bought them at this amazing price - will wait, don't need a third arm...)

Just a note about this Kit. It is not supported by or controllable using the Amazon Echo. I'm still waiting myself for them to hopefully fix that. Other Wemo products are but this controller is not.

Hmm, almost a third of the 323 reviews on Amazon rate this 1 star. Not encouraging.

Tempted to buy and use with Samsung SmartThings but the reviews are just terrible. Although most fail to mention why specifically it doesn't do what they want other than "it doesn't work".

I have this kit....the bulbs are well built, nothing shakes inside when you shake the bulbs but the Belkin app is utter shit, sometime its takes 2 minutes for the lights to turn off/on and the app freezes alot. I would def use this kit with a different interface app. About 9 months later I updated all of my lights to the Philips Hue system now I have 25 Belkin bulbs and switches rotting in the basement right next to the christmas decorations since they won't pair with the Hue system Frown

I have Wink, which has an excellent app and yes the phillps hue app is complete and useless crap. But unlike Belkin, Philips allows developer access to their protocols which opened the door for much much better third party apps. I use the Lampshade app when controlling my Hue lights

Frankly, I don't get the point of wifi enabling such a narrowly targeted device like a light bulb over just wifi enabling the power source. Then you can wifi enable anything you want, including multiple devices sharing the same outlet. What if I want a 40W or 100W bulb instead? Now if these were truly "special" bulbs like the Philips Hue, that might be a different story. I see these are dimmable, but is that really worth it?

FWIW, D-Link has had a recurring deal @ their own online store, 4x DSP-W110 wifi enabled plugs for $60. Bought them just a few days ago. Seems more useful and flexible to me.

I'll second the Wink hub being great - wide open, works great with Amazon Echo as well as a slew as other third parties...!

The radio support for Wifi, Bluetooth, Zigbee AND Z-Wave is almost unmatched for the less than $50 price tag.

Overall, very happy - keep an eye peeled here (on SD) for the next deal - got my $50 hub free with a 2 pack bulbs purchase a while back @ Home Depot and have absolutely loved the Android app for Wink (that works perfectly on my Android Wear watch).

hug
