AT&T upgrading (some) limited-minute cellular plans to unlimited minutes for free (YMMV)

Not sure if this is across the board with all legacy plan - perhaps you can get it by calling and asking if not?
Back to our regularly scheduled talk about unlimited minutes:
It looks like AT&T might be rolling out unlimited minutes for Grandfathered minutes-plan holders. For the time being, why don't we start collecting everyone's experiences so we can get a clear idea of how AT&T is doing this, so all of us AT&T customers might get the best deal on this.
It would help if you have the following information in your post:
1.) Did you receive a text message informing you of this change? Y/N (Picture optional)
2.) What Plan did you have before the change? (FamilyTalk #### (Unity), etc.)
3.) Are you currently in contract?
If you called up AT&T about this change, please note the following:
1.) Did you deal with CSR, Retentions, or Both? Did any of these acknowledge this change happening?
2.) Were you able to get them to lower you to a lower minute plan, then apply the unlimited?
Any experiences would be helpful!
