Where do I go to find research on good Tv's? Cnet? Anything better easier?

I need to buy 2 TV's in the next few months.
I am hoping someone with experience can point me in the right direction. I live 100 miles from a big box store, so I need to research & buy online. I do the slick deals every day, and I they are buying & returning Tv's daily. We just need a good viewing family tv with good sound from the tv as no sound bar.
What brands do I stick with & how do I figure out what is a good deal.
1st TV: 55" to 60" TV. We like Samsung (but I've read about "the panels")
2nd TV: 48 " to 52"

Guide me please.
No gaming just TV watching (and I don't even have HD receiver)

Thanks!

Cnet is a good start but you should live and die by AVSForum.com where knowledgeable owners, enthusiasts, prof calibrators and industry insiders all participate in.

You should take a very close look at this [avsforum.com] set from Vizio where it is earning accolades left and right from a price to performance standpoint.
