Windows 8 Install Issue SSD HP PC

I just bought an SSD for my aunt's HP computer in order to give it some new life. I disconnected the old HDD first and then installed Win 8 on the new SSD. Everything seems to install fine, and it goes through the whole process. The PC restarts and says, "Getting Devices Ready", but then I keep getting this message: "The Computer Restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer and then restart the installation".

This message keeps coming up over and over even after restarting. I got around this message by following the steps from this link:

After doing a regedit and follwing the steps from that link above, I am able get to the Windows Setup Screen where it asks to create a PC Name and then a username and password for the PC. Before I can even enter a username and password, the PC keeps going into a boot loop and bringing me back to the same screen.

I tried formatting and installing Windows 8 again, but still having the same problem. Anyone know what the issue could be?
