AT&T upgrades vs. new line incentives

Would anyone have any information about the best incentives AT&T and/or AT&T resellers are offering? I have two lines in our family plan that are off contract and would like to upgrade them to iPhone 6s. On one I plan to port the number away and replace it with a new number, so I should be eligible for a $200 credit with some vendors such as Sam's Club and Target for adding a Next line.

On the other line, I'd rather keep the number, but it really irks me that new customers are offered $300-400 to transfer a line in while I get nothing for being a loyal customer and upgrading. Not to mention the huge price increase disguised as "Next". I used to get a new iPhone for $200, now I'm being charged $810 (over 30 months) for the same thing. I can't figure out why there hasn't been more negative publicity about this.

Any other thoughts? Could I add a new line and then request that the numbers be swapped?

I'm looking to port 3 lines from sprint to AT&T and the best promotion that I've seen was $300, for porting, trading in your old phone and buying a new phone on NEXT.

I think your best bet would be to call AT&T customer service and see what kinds of deals their retention office can provide.
