Yep! The BB movers coupon works. And any reward certificates. Smilie

Darn. Never an 8GB memory model. I just wont buy a computer with 4gb. Especially one with non-upgradeable memory!

I believe college student 50 off coupon should work as well

YMMV now-a-days. My BestBuy (Union, NJ) stated they received a corporate memo about not taking both movers and EDU together anymore.

The movers coupon I picked up yesterday was only 5 bucks off of something 50 or more not the 10% they used to include. So hardly worth the effort IMO.

no one (i think) outside of Apple carries/carried an Air with 8GB of RAM. all were 4GB.

Huh?! MANY resellers do... I know B&H does. For example: LINK [bhphotovideo.com]
They and many others carry all the configurations. Just retail/B&M stores dont usually.

Yea B&M never had that I know of either. I believe Adorama carries all the builds too. And they will eventually start to clearance them out.

I have the 2014 MBA (same specs as this). 4GB ram is plenty for most users, particularly on a Mac. These aren't gaming machines. I use it for general tasks when away from home or office. I run multiple programs at once, and the computer is snappy and plenty responsive.

Mac simply doesn't require as much ram as PC, so comparing the two in terms of the amount of ram doesn't make sense.

If you're looking for something portable, and you prefer a laptop over a tablet, this is the lightest, most agile machine available. Coupled with a coupon, this machine is a great deal.

I am no Mac fanboy, I build gaming PCs. But if you're avoiding this one because of 4GB ram, actually try it out before you dismiss it.
