Hip Hop duo, download directly from their site.
http://www.runthejewels.net/

I just noticed there's a link up on the right hand side of their site to also get a free download of their album "Run the Jewels 2". It current sells on amazon for $6.99 and has 130 reviews with 95% either four or five star reviews.

Thanks, OP! Had no idea they were making a new album. The first two are pretty awesome to get pumped up while working out. This one looks like cats meowing? Either way, I'm excited to check it out!

Run The Jewels have released two proper albums: "Run The Jewels" and "Run The Jewels 2." Both are fantastic, and both were released for free online.

"Meow The Jewels" is a remix album of "RTJ2," with all the instrumentation replaced by kitty sounds. It came about because the group offered it for "sale" for $40,000 as a joke when they released "RTJ2," along with other wacky gag items like an RTJ-themed Kitchen Nightmares show for $150,000. Someone opened a Kickstarter to raise the $40k to make MTJ, people (like me) donated to it, Jamie and Mike said they'd actually do it if the Kickstarter got funded, it did and they did. And they donated the money to charity, and are now giving away the album for free. I haven't heard it yet, but I assume it's awesome and terrible and wonderful all at the same time.

So that's it. Go check it out. If you don't want to invest the time/bandwidth to download an album, go find "Close Your Eyes (And Count To fark)" or "Banana Clipper" or "Blockbuster Night Part 1" on YouTube, then come back and download the albums.

And see them live if you can because they're really farking good.

Thanks for all the great background info! I'll be listening to both albums soon, and that will give me a good perspective on it. Repped.
