I've been really indecisive about getting a pair of headsets now. I'm currently using the xbox one chat headset right now, but its beginning to crap out. (Delayed voice over to party and volume level is starting to get low) Should I invest in a upper scale headsets like A50's or settle for something like this http://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Clou...rx+cloud+2 I am getting the new xbox one controller so I don't have to worry about buying the adapter. I'm also thinking about starting a gaming commentary channel, so that might also be something to take into account for. I'm open to any suggestions. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

you could buy the PC version of the A40's and plug it directly into the controller, and it would come with the y cable to for the PC

Do you want to use it for game sound (late nights, kids, etc) or just chat?

If you're just going for chat, I'd recommend just getting a phone headset for $10. They're cheaper than gaming headsets, and if you find one that's comfortable for you than you're really not missing out on anything.

For game sound, preference and budget are major considerations. Surround headsets in the $150-200 range certainly sound great and help locate sound origins (footsteps), but I've used stereo headsets that did a decent job of keeping me in the action. My brother has kids and games late at night, so I've tried a few he's had. His favorites are turtle beach's.

My suggestion is, buy a good pair of headphones (any brand you like), a modmic and a y splitter. I'm using a pair of Bose Soundtrue over-ear headphones i got for free and they're great. Lightweight, comfy and sound pretty good.

I bought the Polk 4 shot headphones. I use them on my Xbox one, ps4 and nexus 6 and they work great. I've not had a problem with them and they really aren't expensive. $40 shipped is what I paid for them and they are well worth it

Since I have no idea. How do you hook regular headphones up to the xbox one?

I think Logitec makes some that can be used on both PC and X1. Do a search for them.
