$35 after auto pay. If you think that's unfair you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed

No, but that is how they get their money back from selling the phones for cheap.

Right. Because asking you to pay for your first month of service is somehow shady.

Why would buy a phone with a port-in requirement if you weren't going to use it?

Wish they had a sale on the higher end phones. Been wanting to switch from VM to cricket for a while with an S5, but $399 is pricey for a phone that's almost been out for 2 years now.

I want to replace a couple of damaged Cricket phones (existing customer). I wish that the offered this deal for existing customer. I guess that I could port out somewhere then back but it is a lot of trouble just to acquire these so so locked down phones.

Go out and buy any AT&T or unlocked GSM phone and it will work with Cricket. S5 can be found much cheaper elsewhere.

Had anyone with cricket already tried to port their number out to T-Mobile using a cheap pre-paid sim, then port it back to cricket to get a cheap phone? It seems like a way to make money, you just have to do it at the end of your billing cycle.
