Hi,
Hopefully this is not a duplicate post.
For those who missed out on the recent BestBuy/Asus Store deals on Google Nexus Player, Adorama has it listed for $49.99 (Shipping is free). Please note that the availability is listed as backorderd so YMMV ("Although this item is temporarily on Backorder, you can order it now and it will ship as soon as it arrives. Your card will only be charged once item is shipped.")

http://www.adorama.com/ASNEXUSPLAYR.html

You may be able to use this to PM @ Amazon\Walmart (again YMMV on PMing a backordered item)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

The price is definitely trending down. But they appear to be selling out at all places for $50 price range. Definitely worth the $20+ over the cost of a Chromecast in my opinion.

its 50 bucks at local walmart as well.
price seems about right, definitely wouldn't want it for $100

just for funsies, check out the leaked pic of the upcoming Roku 4:
http://www.aftvnews.com/first-ima...ed-roku-4/

I'm sad to say that this will probably be the first generation of Roku that I will take a pass on. My old Roku 3's are working swell, have two Fire TV's and two Fire Sticks. I ordered the new Fire TV (got it for $70) and I bought the old Nexus Player.
I also have a couple chromecasts that haven't seen the sunlight in at least 6 months and probably never will.

Roku started my love affair for set top streamers, so I wish them all the best with the Roku 4. Gonna be a tough market this year

Found this deal earlier and put in an order. Didn't post it because of the backorder status. Hopefully it ships. Tried calling Adorama to find out backorder ETA and they're on "holiday" till Wednesday. What holiday is that? Will cancel if I see a better deal come up.

Probably. But for $50, I am very impressed. I got in on the BB deal and it is way better than Roku.
