This speaker beats the top in it's price range.

1. Brookstone Big Blue Party speaker $199.99
2. JBL EXTREME Portable Speaker $299.95
3.UE BOOM Portable Speaker $299,99
4. Not portable Marshall Stranmoore $399.99

I owned the stranmoore and returned it because it is only 80 watts and the Aiwa is 200 watts of much louder and crisper sound with portability, does not require a power outlet.

Sound difference of all speakers listed except stranmoore (Take my word the sound is great but the aiwa is louder and clearer)

Same here, Sony has been holding Aiwa hostage but their back and this speaker is gonna bring back the old school followers. Smilie i just found the reviews on this speaker last night and I returned my Marshall Stranmoore this morning as there is nothing on the market with 200 watts in this price range that has a portable battery pack lasting 9-10 hours.

So you returned a highly rated speaker because you saw a review and recognize the brand that was sold by Sony and has nothing at all to do with the original.

Here's the story of Joe Born's new name for Hale. [chicagotribune.com]

Interesting press conference described in the link. Joe played a tiny speaker, and then his huge speaker which amazed the audience by sounding better and louder.

Great technology!

Stanmoore is a great speaker at the price I got it at I would say it is a great buy but it only delivers 80 watts of sound with no portability, meaning no rechargeable battery. for my needs I would have to buy a PA like speaker which won't deliver the bass and sound quality that the aiwa seems to produce.
Flossy Carter is a pretty good reviewer of audio products and with headphones you can clearly see the comparison with products that are yes smaller but in the same price range the aiwa beats them. if you need a small speaker that is 50 watts or less get the ones I listed in my post.

all depends on the consumer need. the deal is still great considering the review that wasn't done by Joe Born.
It seems logical for my needs to return an 80 watt speaker for a 200 watt speaker which beats out the Stranmoore in volume. I don't see a problem here? I can return the aiwa for free if it is magically horrible and go back to the Stranmoore with a price match at best buy. ...

They made a comeback in the mid-90s with some pretty good sounding compact stereo systems, but other than that they've been a non-player.

Flossy Carter is a stupid ass bass head reviewer when it comes to speakers, with zero to perhaps negligible understanding of quality sound and the dynamics of a speaker..If u watch him then ur mind knows u understand nothing from his videos..infact lol most of the times cheap speakers sounded better from how he reviews them..i guess he uses built in mics for audio... I wouldn't trust that source if I was a keen and curious human.. That being said the aiwa is a solid option but still nowhere the quality of the Marshalls line up or klipsch kmc-3...

I received the aiwa and its loud, clear and portable. if you need a speaker to use outdoors, indoors or even in a car with no stereo then this speaker beats klipsch and Marshall. I've had both of those brands and neither of can match this new speaker. look up clavinetjunkie on YouTube, he uses binaural microphone and you can hear his comparisons and you may change you're opinion of who's #1.

Hi All, this is Joe from Aiwa, thanks for the comments and attention. We're certainly proud of the Exos-9 BTW, this offer has expired. We're not discounting the speaker because we're barely keeping up with demand as it is, and we're having to air ship much of the inventory which is hurting margins as it is. As most of the reviewers have stated the speaker is a pretty remarkable value at $300 as it is (which is really only possible because of our direct sales model: http://blog.aiwa.us.com/what-aiwa-means-part-1/ )

In any case, just wanted to chime in to let you know this coupon is expired, but anyone that buys the speaker is still getting a very strong value as it is, and we'll take it back, postage paid, no questions asked if you don't agree.
