Got this email. Link to lock in [taxactonline.com].

Last chance! Lock in TaxACT 2015 Deluxe + State for just $13.99 (reg. $17.99) when you pre-register through this email. Don't delay, prices increase tomorrow!

Your pre-registration includes our Price Lock Guarantee, import of last year's return, and unlimited tax and technical help. Plus, you can get a head start with free Preview Edition this fall.

Looks like there were a couple times that it was $2 cheaper this past tax season, but I figured this was a pretty good deal. Better than regular price.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

This may be a dumb question, but if i am filing jointly with my spouse, do i have to pay for two separate accounts or just one? Would this deal cover our return for Fed and State?
thanks!

One as long as it is one return. I gave up on TaxAct after it doent allow PDF preview of the entire return (unless you pay).

I feel like you can print the PDF prior to filing can't you?

I scoured TaxAct looking for a contact email to inquire about how to do the sign up. I wonder if they let me parallel jointly and then showing separately, i know someone advertised doing the split without a whole lot of extra work

I print mine as a PDF for free every year. Anyone can. When you go to print it, choose PDF as the printer Bullzip is a good one if you need a 3rd party PDF printer.

I just received an e-mail from TaxAct and it doesn't look like they are offering the free federal anymore (unless EZ). Too bad!

I can't find any links to a bundle with federal AND state together, seems like state is another $15 for any filing...

Looks like I might do some shopping for tax preparation software this year. I can't find any mention anywhere of a Deluxe bundle (Fed+State) for $20 or less. Looks like my minimum cost with them will now be $35...
