An adult male will outgrow these weights almost immediately. get a set of spinlocks instead.

Pic show a spring collar but it's actually a spinlock

You could buy 4 of these for the same price.

These are dumbells and rack. I think you are looking at something else.

Free shipping too, pretty good deal.
Yes an adult male will outgrow these very quickly, but this is a good start. Even if you have something like powerblock or ironmaster dumbbells, sometimes it is nice to quickly get through the warmups without having to mess with changing the weight plates.

Are you saying a grown adult dumbell, should only consider small racks?.. or that only dumbell males consider small racks, only?

agreed that an adult male will out grow the dumbbells in the OP, but not sure why you would post a barbell set as a replacement for dumbbells.

I've been using a set of these for a few years now. Use Olympic plates on the ends to bump the weight when needed. The spinlock fits nicely inside the larger Olympic hole to secure it and keep it from sliding while in use.

It comes with 2 dumbell handles and a bunch of plates. you can adjust the weight of the dumbbell handles by adding or subtracting weight. IMO it's a more versatile system that offers a way to increase the weight you use without abandoning the previous weights.

Solid dumbbells are fine for a gym where you have lots of different people lifting (men, women, children, injured).

Imagine you start doing dumbbell presses with 50lbs of solid dumbbells (appx $1/lb) that's $100 when you go to 55's that's another $110 then 60's that's another $120, plus you'll likely never use the lighter ones again unless you let lots of atrophy set in. Using spinlocks going from 50's to 55's only costs $10 55's to 60's another $10, so on and so forth until you reach the limit of a standard 14" spinlock dumbell handle, (appx 100lbs).

Yeah, would've jumped on that set at this price immediately.

I have a complete rack of 10-70lbs in 5lbs increment, those cheap cast iron ones. The ten pounder broke clean off and fell on my son's face. I've been paranoid ever since. The handle is the same thickness from the 10s to the 70s, quite shocked that the 10s would go first.

Even my tween son has already outgrown this set - he's just moved up to 30lbs.
