YMMVThose who are already on Tmobile's postpaid service, just call 611 and request a new sim card from customer service for FREE.
-this is not a T-mobile Policy so it may not work

Shipping will take about a week though.

Yes, you can buy he SIM card before you purchase the phone.

Just keep in mind that T-Mobile WILL still try to charge you $10-$15 to activate the new line saying it is for the SIM card. I've always been able to show them I already have the card and have them manually override, but YMMV.

If you sign up for a line online, forget it - you will be charged the activation fee whether you have a SIM or not

I already have a micro sim + prepaid with T-mobile but I plan to replace my Nexus 4 with a phone that uses nano sim. Can I get that kit and switch to the new (nano) sim but stay on the same T-mobile account? Or should I just cut my current sim to nano size?

Thanks for any help.
