this kind of sucks. i am one of those 1% that has it and takes advantage of it. I use probably 15-18 gig a month on average. I pay 29.99 a month. At least I will be able to upgrade my iPhone 5 to a 6 plus from the sounds of the article.

Those bastards.

Time to get a 2 year contract and lock in the last 2 years of unlimited data I guess.

Would the best thing to do is grab a phone with the bestbuy method to get into another 2 year contract? or would they still add the $20 to the plan?

come on.......
1% of your users are making this much of hassle for verizon? Going to really add that much revenue?

Still beats paying for FiOS + cable for me! And I just locked into another 2-year contract!

I was recently adding a line to my family plan and the Verizon store clerk says "Verizon is telling me to offer you 100GB for $700 per month based on your usage" lolol.

If they are adding $20 to unlimited data users, why not just make unlimited data an option again at $59.99? $20 seems like an arbitrary number.

It's clearly more than 1% that still have unlimited data

That would be hard since they don't have 2 year contracts anymore. Only contracts are for the phone not for the line or service. Started a few months back I think.

Incorrect. Existing Verizon customers can still get 2-year subsidized phone contracts.

Looks like I was wrong. They don't show that option until you actually click on the phone. On the quick overview it only shows the monthly payment for the phone.
