averageguy 795 193 October 9, 2015 at 01:11 PM
I received a Extra Lg 4 battery and charger thru one of their promos. I left the battery in the charger and left it in my car overnight. It rained and i forgot to close my windows and found it in the my car. Charger was wet and battery inside was wet. What is the best advice to dry these or should i just throw them out

Assuming it was not standing in water the battery is maybe ok. They are usually wrapped pretty tightly in paper. I would throw it in rice for a week or so and then see. The first time I would charge it somewhere on stone or concrete so if it did go all wrong the counter/carpet would not set the house on fire.

Vague questions receive vague answers . . . . . .
As long as you don't plug it in wet it should be okay to just dry it out and give it a shot. You may have killed some of the life expectancy of that charger though. Water in there may allow rust and corrosion even after it dries. Batteries are rather sealed though and the connectors on the outside can be cleaned up easy enough.

Either way, dry them out and plug them in while turning your head slightly in case it explodes. Don't turn too far though, if it explodes it will look cool and you don't want to miss that.
