Hi, I backup my phone thru Itunes and the info on my phone gets backed up on my windows computer. Before when I used to backup, the old app version were appeared on my pc trashcan. But starting a few weeks back, whenever I backup my phone, the old apps no longer appear on the traschcan, I am worried that the old version are still stored on my phone taking up space. Or has the way that backups changed? and it just deletes them now and no longer send the old to the trashcan?

The ones that ended up in the recycle bin were the apps that were on your PC and got updated. When the iPhone updates apps it removes the older version automatically. So what you are worried about is actually pretty much impossible.

Either they changed something about how iTunes works, OR it's stopped syncing apps to the PC. I think it's probably the latter but frankly I can't remember the last time I sync'd my phone to a computer so I'm not positive what the default behavior is nowadays. Maybe someone else can chime in.
