Not bad it actually has decent reviews for a new notebook this is built better than most at this pricepoint. Keeping with AMD tradition it will perform nicely but also will generate a bit of heat and it will use power but at this price and depending on your needs its worth a look.

great build quality, but lowly processor. good for the price, but A8 or higher would be much better. i3 or higher even better. in all, not bad for the price.

I guess I'm not poor enough to put up with pixel sizes that you can actually count.

Then why are you in a thread about a $300 laptop?

Because it was cheap enough that I figured it might be good for one of the kids, I was wrong.

I guess you need an asterisk for "kids" as my kids (6 and 8) wouldn't care either way about the resolution. What exactly are these kids looking to do with a laptop at this price point? Anymore more than web/video videoing and light gaming and the processor would crawl I imagine (haven't looked it up but assuming so given the price point)

Kids doesn't necessarily mean 6 & 8 plus Word and Excel suck at this resolution.
