Don't forget to register your product service tag at Dell for the 3 year warranty on the u3415w. You get the warranty in any case, but it's good to have that info already on file.

$550 is a possibility. But won't go much cheaper than that.

I would hardly count that though. Maybe at 2/3 value, which you could probably get on ebay.

Didn't see this posted. Newegg has the monitor mentioned above for $699 with the code automatically included when you add it to your cart, and $649 AR. Shipping is free.

Seems well reviewed on Amazon, 4.7 stars out of 5, with 132 reviews.

I've been skipping out on the LG due to light bleeding in the corners. Light bleeding on this monitor seems better.

Noob question - when we submit the rebate, what UPC/barcode are we attaching? Is it just the giant sticker on the outside of the box that has like 4 barcodes?

it'll be worth it IMO. i know exactly what features I want at the price point I want. i will wait for it.

the one question that i've actually had recently is whether 3440x1440 is worth it over 2560x1080. i've read that the latter is much easier to run and within games it really allows you to max things out and run it at high fps with only one card. it is quite a bit worse when it comes to productivity purposes though.

and since 2560x1080 doesn't fit properly into 3440x1440, you can't really lower your resolution in a normal fashion.

Using this monitor to play FFXIV. GTX980 SC can near-max settings the game at 60fps almost 100% of the time at 3440x1440 and it looks beautiful.
