This class 3A laser projector looks like an interesting alternative to hanging string lights and only uses 5 watts during operation. A short demonstration video is a bit lower down on the product page. -Corwin

there are $10 prism based led bulbs that provide a similar multicolor effect in a smaller area, so they are great for lighting your indoor xmas tree display or a one small tree/bush area outdoors. because they are bulbs that work in any standard socket, they are less likely to get stolen while used outdoors.

If you mean this one:

http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/s...word=laser

It's totally different. The one at Bed Bath and Beyond doesn't have motion, isn't very bright, and gets crap reviews.

4.5 stars on their website compared to monoprice which has no reviews?

This one is $70 on Amazon, with so-so reviews. But Monoprice has consistently put out high quality products, and has a decent return policy. I'm going to take the chance.

I've been wanting a BlissLight for a while, but hesitant due to the price. I'm curious how this would compare.

There are also dozens of Chinese knock offs on eBay for around $15-$20. But there is really no way of knowing what the quality and light output will look like without physically comparing the two side by side.

Just looking at the Monoprice versus BB&B version - the Monoprice looks to be much higher quality... The power supply is more beefy, the stakes look much sturdier... Reviews on the BB&B version state that it is very flimsy... looks it, plus you have a wall wart at the end... I'll take a chance on the Monoprice version... I just hope they don't get stolen from our yard...

Completely different products. The one on BB&B and Amazon doesn't have motion. Also Amazon is a better place for reviews. BB&B reviews are questionable.

And look up some YouTube reviews where people complain that the light isn't bright the stake breaks and the light isn't in dots it's more line or L shaped.
