Who has an Apple Watch?

dealgate 6,364 1,085 October 20, 2015 at 05:16 AM
I bought an Apple watch for my daughter for Christmas and it just arrive yesterday. I am not going to open it since I want it to be brand new for her but can someone who has purchased and opened one tell me what is in the box? It is very heavy and long - nothing really like a watch case. I am confused!

Charger, watch band, an extended strap you can swap in, and the USB power adapter that plugs into the wall.

One thing to keep in mind: your warranty starts as of today. I know you're being proactive with your christmas shopping, but if you're only giving it to your kid on christmas, you're effectively wasting 2 months of the warranty.

I doubt it unless there is a price cut or supply issues. It's not a brand new expensive product and supply chains are running. Apple is pretty good about building up inventory around the holidays too.

Apple's warranty, like most warranties, sucks anyway. If it doesn't break the first month, it isn't going to break (at least by manufacturer defect). Now an 11 year old certainly can find other, more creative ways to break it. I might get the extended Apple warranty that covers breakage. She has been very good with her iPhone 6 though - no damage so far after a year of use.
