Does anyone know the difference between this one and the 1F86U-42WF? Thanks!

I bought 2 of these during the Amazon deal (got the Pro-install version with a 5 year warranty). Installed easily and works flawlessly. Definitely recommend.

"The Sensi 1F86U-42WF has a 5-year warranty with instructions and packaging designed for professional installers. The Sensi UP500W has a 3-year warranty with instructions and packaging designed for retail. Both models are the same in construction, features and functions."

I got this thermostat from another deal and really like it. It doesn't look very flashy or high tech on the wall but it works very well. I like the "Auto" feature where you just set a high temp and and a low temp and it will turn the heat or AC automatically, especially this time of year when you don't know if it is going to be hot or cold. i.e. Turn on the AC is the temp is over 78° or turn on the heat if it is under 68°. Setup was really easy as well.

I also got this from a previous deal when it was directly from the manufacturer and cheaper.
Much better than my previous thermostat.
This one seems a lot better at detecting actual temperatures in the house and so the AC doesn't run as much, which saves money on the electric bill.
Being able to change the temperature from my phone is a big plus as well.

i think i read that this one doesn't play nice with any home automation tools. something to consider for those that already have a dedicated HA ecosystem. i'm holding out for something that will integrate with my amazon echo so i can speak commands to turn on/off lower/raise temps. i have a trane zwave unit that i bought like 2 yrs ago that i haven't installed yet because i've been waiting on a solid deal on a nest or ecoboee but still haven't pulled the trigger on anything :-\

I picked up this thermostat when it was on sale on amazon. It is a nice thermostat. My old thermostat was touch screen, so this one took a little getting use to. However, I am beginning to use the app on my iphone more and more, where now I don't even go to thermostat to check anything.
This thermostat has a smaller footprint then my older thermostat. So, if your old thermostat wasn't painted behind it, and you don't want to mess with painting, pick up the wall plate. It's only $10 but will save you a lot of time if you need to do some painting touch up. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...1_2&sr=8-2

I love this thermostat. I had a Nest at my previous rental place and really liked it, but I didn't feel it was worth the $250 price tag. At $100 I'm beyond happy with the feature set vs. the price tag. Only feature I miss is the ability to look at when and how long your furnace or air conditioner ran for in the previous 7 days.

Love this thermostat. A/C seems to run a lot less yet I am still comfortable. I believe it is just more sensitive and accurate than my old RiteTemp and cycles the A/C more often. Works with my Wink hub but I mainly use my Android tablet or Laptop to control it. Very easy to program your own schedule. As flipontheradio mentioned it would be awesome if they could supply stats on usage.

In for one... Good reviews, seems like a solid purchase and much less expensive than a Nest...

Also got this from the previous deal. Took some work to connect to WiFi but has been working flawlessly ever since. Love the ability to turn the thermostat way down at work while wife is home wondering why house is so cold.
