Great price on a 4GB 960, the 2GB version are around this price.

Rebate seems to be in limbo. There may or may not be a $20 rebate.

The $20 rebate is under EGA-23587 valid from 10/15-10/21:

Best deal I've seen so far. Always thought the 960's were a little overpriced. Makes me wonder what kind of deals we will be able to get on the regular 960's for Black Friday! Great deal, but I think I'm going to hold out just a little longer...

I ordered this last night for $190 (after $20 rebate) and the price dropped overnight. Currently talking to a Newegg support rep to see if I can get the deal price. >_< Definitely a great deal. Best card in the price range at $190 (in my opinion), so for $160 it's pretty fantastic.

I placed an order last night for a 2GB MSI GTX 960 (The white one) which is 159.99 after rebate. Switched my order to this 4GB evga which is the same price. Very very good price on a 4gb 960. I will have to use an adapter though for its 8pin power as my comp only has a 6 pin.

A friend of mine made claims that the GTX 960 is the best HTPC card out there right now because it can accelerate all 4K video content. I haven't done the research to confirm his argument - in part because I don't have a 4k display or TV. You'll want to verify his claim if 4k matters to you.

He's both right and wrong. 4k content will be using the HEVC video codec and aside from the newest 300 series of radeon gpus, the gtx 960, 980 ti, and titan x, and skylake integrated gpus, no other gpus have HEVC decoders.

The minimum Bethesda states for Fallout 4 in the Nvidia family is a GTX 550Ti 2GB, the recommended is a GTX780 3GB.

http://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-4-...-released/

The GTX960 falls about 6/8ths of the way to a GTX780.

The GTX 960 4GB I think should be good for 1080p 60FPS for Fallout 4. As long as you don't mind playing on Medium to High settings instead of Ultra. But that's just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt.

Pretty much the game I had in mind when I bought this 4GB version.
But if I see a good deal on the GTX970 on black friday/cyber monday, I may just resell this one and trade up.

Yes

I'd go with a 760ti. Its a lower power consuming card but with great htpc preformance. If your going to game on it then go with the 960
