On the dishwasher, try checkeing the owners manual for a sequence of buttons to press to reset it.
Maybe you'll have to google it. |

Whirlpool fridge (Gd5RVAXVY03)
Push button is stuck to remove water filter. This is the style where the filter is at the front bottom. Push the button and slightly twist and remove filter. The button is stuck in the the "in" position, so it won't move any further (or rebound back out). So filter is stuck. Any ideas on how to get the filter out?! thanks! Macho Business Donkey Wrestler

![]() Question for you regarding sizing a Trane XV95 furnace. Our current 80% efficiency gas furnace is rated at 100k which means it puts out 80k BTU. Ok, so when upgrading to a 95% efficiency unit, do I get a 80k or 100k two-stage unit? The smaller unit will give us nearly 76k output which is slightly less than we have now, but the larger furnace will give us 95k which is well over - and from what I understand from a couple of HVAC contractors, oversizing these units will lead to problems down the road. Thoughts? |

Are you happy with the heating capability of the current unit? (ie. 80K output?) |

HVAC blower not working. Help please.
Trane XE1000 Airconditioner. On turning the AC unit to cool, after a time delay the thermostat turns on the condensor fan, but the blower does not turn on. The pipes copper pipe (open pipe) next to the Blower unit was very cold. The entire AC box was cold. But the blower was not turning on. Switched off the AC. Turned the fan position to On from Auto. The fan kicked in and started blowing air. So looks like the blower fan, capacitor and relay are good. Was wondering why this fan is not starting when the condensor fan is on. This may freeze up the lines and destroy the condensor. Googling did not help me find a solution. Please help. Could the thermostat be the cause of the problem or is it an issue with the control board on AC unit. Where can I get the circuit diagram for the wiring of the AC unit. Thanks in advance. |
|
1. AC unit off. Fan on - Blower works and sends air to house. [Indicates that the fan is working] 2. Fan on - Blower runs. AC on, hear clicking of relays in thermostat - Blower fan turns off. Outside condensor fan starts running. - Thus cooling down / freezing the copper cooling pipes. Is the control board having the problem or is it the thermostat? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. with the fan switch on "on" the circuit board will shut off the fan, then kick on the ac, then kick back on the fan. does the same thing in heat mode if fan switch is in on position. you can check that heat works that way also.
im going with circuit board Last edited by stufine; 05-02-2012 at 07:48 AM.. for those that hate spelling mistakes www.walmarts.com

Got the thermostat tested. Green wire is the fan. Yellow is the condensor. White is the Heat. Short the red to the green and yellow to get the condensor and fan to run. Only condensor ran, so looks like the control board on the AC Unit is having problems. Blue is the ground. DO NOT short Red and Blue this will destroy the 24 volts transformer. Ok the Model Number for the Control Unit is 50A50-405 D340035P01 CNT1309 The AC unit states Trane XE-78. Apparently this control unit is obsolete. Looks like this I will have to buy a 50A55-843 (some people have reported that this model works). Placed an order on Amazon.com Will update with details on replacing the control unit. the fan is part of the furnace. has nothing to do with outside unit. newer units have a time delay before kicking on the furnace fan. heat and cool has the delay. heat is 30-90, ac <30 but stays on a bit after outside unit kicks off. the circuit board in the furnace has the fan wires connected to it and controls which speed. most have 3 wires, red blue black, black being ac(high).
what model furnace do you have. if you do have the red, blue black you could hook the black up to one of the power connectors that isnt switched, on the board to get constant fan. " temp fix" |
