SLI configuration? Or one MONSTER CARD!?

I'm returning my r9 290 video cards. I'll have $1200 in gift cards. Do I go with TWO 980 TI video cards in SLI? Or do I buy a Titan X?

What am I using this for? Video games, video games, and more video games. I'll be buying a 4k tv in the future, so I want to future proof this for use with 4k down the line. Thanks!hughughug:

980 Ti is about 5-7% slower than Titan X. Two 980Ti in SLI, while not offering twice the performance, will still be considerably faster than a Titan X at 4k

There's no point future proofing - tech changes too quickly. I'd suggest going with a single 980TI and upgrading when you get that 4K display.

I do not recommend a titan x unless your are some kind of graphic developer

980ti in sli would be much more recommended. However I suggest you invest in one 980ti and a very nice monitor. What the point of better graphics when you don't have a great monitor to enjoy it on.
