Short story:
Basically I need to rent a car Monday to Friday for maybe three weeks because of a car accident. I tried monthly deals and weekly rates. This week we need the car for 5 days. First week of November 3 days. Following week 5 days.

Tried daily rates, didn't seem to be cheaper than my insurance rental of 30 for mid size. Monthly rate doesn't seem to be cheap nor does it seem to make sense now,

I thought over the last few years I saw 10 dollar deals in november? Any help would be appreciated.

Long story:
It's been almost three weeks since my wife had an accident. They probably won't start work on it until Wednesday when the adjuster reevaluates the damage. Needless to say we were told the car won't be done for another three weeks. Currently the insurance is giving us 20 a day and told us to rent from enterprise. Just learned we can rent it anywhere and then they will reimburse. We are

I guess our best option is to do a Monday to Friday deal. Our insurance is giving us 20 per day. They sent us to enterprise and we got a midsize for 30 a day.

still that's 900$ a month?

What was the best company to use? not sure if you shopped around with others?

Im seeing groupons with enterprise.

75$ off a month long rental the weekend specials?

I guess go with m-f and then use the 9$ a day for weekends?

Have you looked at online travel agencies such as,, I would think you would probably get a better rate by the week or by the month than by the day.

Look around at local companies. In my town, there is a company that has just local rentals for people who need a short term rental and we paid $26/day for 3 days when my car was being repaired. You could call around -- they might have something sitting on the lot and a cheap rental is better than no rental at all.

We got a deal on a car on a last minute trip for a funeral and paid about the same for the first 4 days as we did for the last 2 days -- we were able to book the better rate because it was the same week. I think it was National -- but I'm not sure. Google "last minute car rental" and your hometown and see what comes up. You might be better booking a few days at a time in that situation.

Good luck.
