Anyone know how these compare to the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro studio headphones. remotely same caliber or not even close?

I think this is a pretty good deal. These come with the velour pads now instead of vinyl. I got a pair to try.

This review was pretty informative: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJGjz_dP4GQ

seems like they are comparable to ATH-M50

what's the practical difference between the velour and vinyl?

For comfort:
Velour >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> vinyl/leather/pleather.

The Samson compare to $150 headphones like the Audio Technica M50 & others in that range.

This is one of the best mid-fi headphones ever for their price.
For $25, it's a steal.

I have no idea how good the sound is but they really do look like a rebranded AKG K 240.

I've owned this for over 4 years, highly vouch for these for gaming and flat music (I used my Yamaha P155, sounds AMAZING) on this. I stretched these out to reduce clamping. Sounds great. Not a bass head. Lookup head-fi reviews.

Thanks OP! For those who haven't heard of the brand, these headphones are apparently great value for the money.

Do these compare at all to Sony MDR-V6?

The regular price is only $33.99, so I don't see how this is a crazy good deal.

I've always wanted to try these, but I doubt I would use them much because I have the Fidelio X2. At that price it might still be worth it.

They're open back headphones which is ideal for gaming and they produce great sound for its value. Good deal if you're looking for something cheap to game with.
