It's hard to find great deals on Mac products. I'd say you could get a recently used one on Cowboom and use a coupon. You can get extended warranty through them if you're worried about used. Or Craigslist, if you're more adventurous. That's how I got my sealed MacBook Air in 2012. Still have it Smilie

For retail, your best bet is to go to the Apple Store or Best Buy and use Apple Pay (assuming you have a recent enough iPhone) with Discover. You'll eventually (may take 3-4 months) get 10-20% in cash back with Discover card. The range depends on if you get the first year Discover cash back doubling. As we approach Black Friday, you'll see ad scans for Best Buy and possibly Apple Store, and you may want to line up for a deal that you can pay for with Apple Pay.

Note the Apple Pay promotion is only good until 12/31.

Thanks ibnuts.
Not so adventures for ebay or craiglist.
Recently got new CC, so planning to span over 15 months free APR.

After going through lots of googling, I came across below available options:

1. Apple Employee Discount --> Varies on Their internal portal
2. Corporate Employer Discount --> Depends on Employee (mine is 15%)
3. Student Discount (.edu id required) --> Not sure exact amount
4. Discover Cash back with apple pay --> 10% for Discover & 20% for Double cash back.
5. Discover discount -> Go to discover, go for apple, and shop through link provided.

I always get my Apple laptops from the MacMall Open Box store [macmall.com]. I save the link as a favorite and check back each day to see if there are any combo open-box AND refurbished laptops. I usually get about 40-45% off of current-gen laptops that way, and I can still activate the one-year warranty with my purchase receipt from MacMall.

When you've loaded the page, you need to do a search for "OBREF" to find a laptop that's not only open-box, but also refurbished. Every one I've purchased (look at my sig for running total) has looked absolutely brand new, and had no problems whatsoever.
