It sure would be nice if rebate companies put tracking numbers on our rebate cards/checks

Some of the companies do put tracking numbers and it's a big help to know which ones we've received so we can check them off the list.

But a lot of the companies don't. You just get a rebate card or check in the mail and if you do a lot of the rebates you have to do some guess work on which rebate this belongs to. Even if you go online and input your tracking number, there isn't much info as far as a date it was sent out and that type of info.

One time I called one company and after entering in my tracking number, the info stated my card was sent out and to expect it in 2-3 weeks. Well there was no date on when it was sent out so how is one to know 2-3 weeks from what date? lol

Today I received a 30.00 Newegg check but I have 2 that are outstanding that are 30.00. Would it be that difficult to just put a tracking number on the paperwork that comes with the check?

So far I've been lucky in receiving all my submitted rebates, but I've had to call in to inquire about a few so it helps to keep good records and to know what's been received and what hasn't.

I know I know, nothing griping on Slickdeals is going to do. It is what it is. But still it sure would be nice to have tracking numbers on our received rebate paperwork.

Checks usually have the details on them. Newegg checks have both the offer and tracking numbers (top center).

As for the cards, if you keep on top of your rebates you can usually tell what card belongs to which rebate. It can sometimes be tricky when you get multiple cards for the same amount but once you have done enough rebates you should know when to expect the cards and what rebate they belong to.

Some cards (Parago) have the tracking number on back of the card (bottom left).

It would be wonderful if they all had some identifying information on them but it's usually easy enough to figure out what belongs with what.

Thanks. Well that does help to know the tracking/Rebate number is teenie tiny on the front of the NewEgg checks. After taking a picure of it and expanding it bigger on the phone, I was able to see it. Thanks for mentioning that or I would have never noticed.
